Cross-Country Skiing
Awarded with the Tyrolean Seal of Approved Quality, St. Anton am Arlberg provides a vast array of terrain for exploring the grandeur and peacefulness of the high country on 40 kilometres of groomed trails.
The Seal of Approved Quality was awarded as this scenic area ensures the highest quality of snow coverage and boasts an excellent sign-posting system, a stunning network of cross country ski tracks with trails for all skills and abilities and parking options. Explore over 40 km of cross-country paradise and see St. Anton from an entirely different perspective. Glide along track-set trails at your own pace or skate smoothly past snow-laden trees in the wilderness, all the while taking in the fresh air and sparkling white peaks that surround you. SKATING TRAILS
- St. Jakob – Schnann (on both banks of Rosanna River): 13 km
- Verwall: 10 km
- Ganderau: 3 km
- St. Christoph: 2.5 km
- St. Jakob Loop: 1.5 km
- Two Pettneu Loops: 3 km
THE XC SKI TRAIL NETWORK
ST. CHRISTOPH TRAIL 2.5 km
This intermediate high elevation trail (1,800 metres above sea level) has a skating track and is the perfect option if you want to meet downhill skiers.
STANZERTAL TRAIL 22 km
Begins at the Recycling Depot close to Aubrücke Bridge. The easy trail winds along the banks of Rosanna River to the Village of Flirsch.
GANDERAU TRAIL 3 km
Trailhead is east of Tirolerhof Hotel. Easy loop trail that connects to the Stanzertal Trail; suitable for dogs.
VERWALL TRAIL 10 km
This is arguably one of Austria’s most awesome cross country ski trails. Trailhead is some 200 metres west of Mooserkreuz Hotel. Easy ups and downs over rolling terrain through outstandingly scenic Verwall Valley, to the guesthouse and to the lake of the same name.
